Moraira is a small, charming fishing village. It has
undergone a major ‘face lift’ in the past
5 years. It has managed to keep its Spanish charm, yet
it is very exclusive.
Eating out & shopping
There are many cafés and restaurants close to
both of our properties. Many restaurants have ‘menu
del dia’ on offer at lunch time which is usually
3-course meal for a set price of €10 to €20
- very good value for your money. Regarding shopping,
there are many small shops spread throughout Calpe,
the main shopping street is Avda Gabriel which runs
through the town towards The Old town. You will find
a few exclusive shops there as well.
Regarding groceries, there are three main supermarkets
– Mercadona (fresh seafood everyday), Caprabo
and Mas y Mas. There are many small handy shops throughout
Calpe but these are usually more expensive.
It is important to remember that you are required to
show photo identification when paying with a credit
card.
